BY Sihle Poswayo 02.08.17

APPLICATIONS for the Market Lab’s flagship programme, a two-year full-time course in Theatre and Performance, have been opened from 1 August until 30 September. The Market Theatre Laboratory offers a unique curriculum that trains professionals in the performing arts field, providing an incubation space for young artists to find their voice and develop their craft.

Students participate in intensive training in various theatre disciplines aimed at developing multi-skilled performances and critically engaged storytellers. They are introduced to other job prospects in the industry through short courses in stage-management, writing, directing and design.  If you are a gifted, determined individual who dreams about a career in the performing arts, do not miss this amazing opportunity.

If you think you have what it takes, apply to attend this remarkable institution now, and find your artistic voice through an exciting, challenging and dynamic programme. Application forms are available on the Market Theatre Laboratory website at www.marketlab.co.za, or can be fetched from the Market Lab offices at The Market Theatre Square. Applications close on 30 September 2017. For enquiries, call Thandeka Nheke on 011 838 7498 or e-mail thandeka@marketlab.co.za or www.facebook.com/themarketlab
